I want a PDA not a phone, need advice?

I am looking for a PDA style device, but I don't want it to be a phone, does anyone have any advice? I don't want to purchase something that is going to be completely obsolete really soon. I was on the verge of purchasing a PDA but now I am a bit worried they are irrelevant. I just don't like the idea of talking on my organizer. What should I get?
