Would it hurt affect your faith / belief if they found life outside of Earth?

No. It would confirm my belief. I believe that God made all of creation, the sun, the earth, the stars and the whole Universe. I believe that he has other children (other sheep the Bible calls them) living on other worlds and the He is Father to us all.
